speaking of cows!
Jun. 14th, 2006 06:20 pmso. jimmy is the most brilliant thing since, like, the thumb.
starting on the first day of MWS, jimmy was on this dinosaur egg thing. apparently, they had found a dinosaur egg out in the rockies that was still a little alive. and I was like, oh, ok, that happens everyday.
and then there were these thunder and lightning storms, and jimmy for some reason had to relate them. he was like, it must be because of the egg!! (or the aliens, but that's a different story)
at the garden of the gods, he asks one of the rangers about the egg, and they sourly
so he goes on like this for the better part of two weeks. lately he's been saying things like "I have a funny feeling about today." and we're all like, ok w/e.
two days ago we were handed these cardborad flames in painting class. Jane (painting teach) says to paint them, and she won't tell us what for.
yesterday in drawing class Jimmy pulls out a reproduction of Albrecht Durer's print of the apocolypse (with the four horasemen?) that he has modified to have it look like the horsemen are flying over a city instead of dead bodies. so he gives us each a square to reproduce in color. at the end of the day we put them together as a giant masterpeice on the wall.
then last evening jimmy holds a cardboard workshop (because he's all into these massive acrdboard sculptures, right) and says that we are goping to build a city. We each choose a building. Morgan, Anne and I build a Gothic cathedral (yes, we are dorks). Finally at 11 pm we set it all up in front of the apocolypse and marvel at our work.
then this morning, we get this model to draw named Greg. He is cool and urban-looking, with lots of piercings. He poses with the city and we draw him. Jimmy will not stop commenting on how he heard somewhere that the egg was beginning to hatch.
Suddenly, Luann and Jane rush in screaming "JIMMY JIMMY! WE JUST HEARD!! THE EGG HAS HATCHED!!" and we all look at eachother, because this is all beginning to make sense.
Then after a little bit, Luann yells quite uncovincingly "JIMMY! THE NEWS IS HERE! THEY MADE A MISTAKE WHEN THEY TOLD US THAT THE EGG WAS IN THE ROCKIES! THE EGG IS ACTUALLY HERE AT COLORADO COLLEGE!!"
and yea, this is beginning to really make sense.
Then suddenly Angie and Andy's kids stumble out from tha back room, screaming "AHHHHHH!! THE EGG HAS HATCHED!! ITS HERE! RUN!"
and out comes cardboard godzilla!!!
(and the news camaras really are here)
and is roars and wails and walks over to the cardboard city and roars and begins to ravage. Andy and Angie fly in with the cardboard fire and begin stapeling the pieces to fallen buildings. Gregzilla finishes off with aa massive roar, and takes abow, and we all clap.
